Title: Indecisive 1st gear
Post by: Dan282 on 28 October 2013, 18:33:56
Right all. My autobox is being clumsy when pulling away. 90 percent of the time it's fine but occasionally if I'm on a hill or need to get away swiftly there is a delay followed by a thud and I rocket away sometimes spinning the wheels momentarily. I have just bought a cambelt kit and full service kit but want to remedy this first.

Kickdown in motion works fine and generally changes smoothly otherwise.  :y

Start with checking fluid level.

It has a ATF fluid change and new filter prior to my ownership but I will do that. Kind of assuming that level will be ok though as a vauxhall mechanic did it.

If level is as it should be what else may be causing it.  :-\

Not at a dealer though. It was his own car.
