Title: This evening I will be mostly purchasing .....
Post by: jules on 29 May 2008, 15:37:43
A 1995 2.5 TD Auto CD Omega with 110K for £100
 :D
Yes really, I'm off down the auction to see if I can actually get this car for £100.
 8-)
Now if you think I'm joking, some of you may remember I mentioned recently a 51 plate gls with 61K that I thought would sell for about £1100, well it was knocked down on Monday for £925 !! It was a nice clean tidy example as well.

Wish me luck  ;D

Surely at the present rates - a Miggy must be worth at least £150 put on the weighbridge for scrap ::) ::)

But good luck to you anyway :y :y

When I got there it was actually sitting at the rostrum looking sorry for it's self, a flat tyre on the passenger side and the drivers wiper in the air. (Means flat battery)

On closer inspection it was in miles above average condition for an N plate, NO rust on doors and some minor surface rust on the arches.

Interior was clean and tidy and there were no bangs or scratches on the body.

Started first turn of the key with a jump pack and NO smoke from exhaust.

So, bidding started by me at £50, £60 to my right, £70 to me, £80 to the trader to my right, etc etc all the way to the heady heights of (scroll)

£160 Sold to the trader.

Much much cheapness !
The reason I stopped at £150 was the lack of an MOT. ;D

:o Wow!......even if there was something occult and 'serious/terminal'; the parts value as a breaker would`ve made it a quite the bargain. :y

If I was near Edinburgh, I would have parted with 200 notes for it, use a few bits to repair my TD, tart it up with a MOT and sell it on for a tidy profit.

Trouble is, I'm not near Edinburgh  :(

the plot thickens, all of the cars purchased by that trader last night are back in the auction on Monday, when he was sitting last night a man from the auctions did come and speak to him and he looked annoyed.
Maybe his credit has run out  :P

So it's back on Monday to try again :)
