Bought myself a new motor last week. Thought I'd stick a picture up and see what the general opinion is...
(Not that I really care, cos I love it!!) ;D

Very nice :y
Josh has let me have a spin in one or two Rangies, one of them being the 5.0 Supercharged V8. :D
I see exactly why people buy them, I'd love one as well to be honest.
Might need LPG though ;D
-
Very smart 8) only issue that I can see is that it's not black ::)

It's got a Prinz LPG system already Mark ;)

Ahhh, that makes it very, very VERY nice then ;D :y
That shape, must be the 4.4 V8?
What are you getting on gas if you don't mind me asking?
-
Now be honest . . . . . you only bought this so you can use the disabled spaces in supermarket car parks ::)
. . . . looks nice :y

I set out looking for a black one Al, but concluded with that much bodywork and my OCD, I'd spend my whole life polishing the bloody thing! You don't see many in this colour and I think it really suits it. I'm really happy with it! :y
-
Very nice,full fat v8 too :y :y
Christ,just had a thought,does it fit into the new garage :o :D :D
-
Do like range rovers, only 2 problems i can see are does it fit in the posh garage? and could do with full limo-tint on the windows. :y
-
Nice motors and god there cheap second hand.
Not as good as a Cayenne though :P

Correct, it's the 4.4 BMW V8. So far, I've done about 400 miles in it (some motorway and some town driving) and I've averaged the equivalent to 34mpg on petrol. Not bad at all! 8)

The beauty of having 2 year old daughter is I get to use the mummy/toddler spaces anyway! ;D

Shame they fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch coming down though ::)

It certainly does mate. I tested that before I bought one. I don't even have to drop the suspension to get under the door, which is handy! :y
-
So ~17mpg on gas? Bloody good for such a massive tank, with 4.4 V8 lump.
Not far off figures quoted here for LPG'd DBW V6's :o
-

It fits! :y
Still considering the options on window tinting, but I suspect it will be happening at some point ;D

+1 Hideous looking thing. Plus I would not want to have to foot the bill when it goes wrong!

Got tints on my 3.2, came with it when I got it both front and rear. Took fronts out as they were very illegal, left rears in.
One really good benefit is night driving, really takes the glare out of headlights. I find it more relaxing to drive, that said, reversing at night is a bugger! ;D
Luckily it has parking sensors :D

I was expecting ~30mpg, so I'm very happy so far!
What's impressed me even more is that it's impossible to tell that it's running on LPG! Totally seemless switch-over, and all the power I will ever need! 8)

Same with my 2.2, fitted right you cannot tell when it switches :y

with that amount of glass, even with the rangies excellent aircon it will get hot in there, and the sun will dazzle the lickle twigs eyes. :)

The Rangie has parking sensors front and rear, and the interior and door mirrors darken when headlights are behind. The passenger mirror also dips when reverse is selected, which is handy!
I shall be upgrading the TV to digital soon, so I'll probably stick a reversing camera on at the same time. :y

I fitted a set of privacy blinds in my Veccy C estate, and was very impressed with them. They are available for the Rangie so I might go down that route. :-\

One I drove (well Josh's) had a wireless camera in passenger footwell, could take that out and plonk it on a near by wall. Then turn on TV in the car, brilliant! Guess it is for when one is reversing one's horsebox ::)

The Venture Cam... I think it was originally designed for off-roading. You can use it to check for obstacles under the car when you're in the thick, brown stuff. ;D

I am a (proper) engineer so its generaly function over form (and you dont see the outside from the inside) and they do the function very well.
Maintenance and parts are not so rpricey, no worse than what you have.
The real kiiller on all these 4x4's is the need to change four tyres at once though, ouch!

cayenne's are useless when trying to tow trailers/horsebox across the fields or up a roadway.but then they are even useless in Chelsea too.
-
Very nice Twiglet! :y My Mig has a Prinz LPG system and it's usually seamless! :y :y :y
About time you got round to paving the drive though!! ::) :P

I used to have the same issue with my old Cavalier 4x4 Turbo. I shall just rotate them and keep the wear even, and change them all together as you say.
The good news is it has 4 brand new tyres on it, so I don't have to worry for a while. :y

Waiting for the spring now Tigger. I'm about to start demo'ing the house, so there'll be skips and all sorts on the drive. I want to get that out of the way first, and it will give the sub-base a good opportunity to settle and fully harden over the winter. :y

I thought you were just waiting until you didn't have a leaky Omega anymore.... ::) ;D

Lovely motor, great colour :y
-
nice motor.. :y
but I must warn you that this color has the highest fading rate (even with UK sun).. so if you are going to paint any part for some reason, spend some considerable effort to match it.. (some brownish yellow and matte grey may help matching)

Sometimes called 'The Stuttgart Hippo'........The Cayenne is almost Insignia ugly. ::) ::) ::) ;D

Yes...but not as desirable as your Daewoo, Steve. :)
-
Very Nice. :y
I've also had a go in Josh's and.. if roads didn't have bends, I'd have one in a shot. ;)
-
Nice James, a proper 4 x 4, just in time for winter as well, if our Weathermen are going to be correct this year.
They do look nice ib Black though, mate of mine has the same in black, keep telling him to LPG it, but he wont listen. I'll let him know the MPG your getting. :y

As Naarfik Ferraris go,thats very nice indeed. :y ;D
