hi all i have a 2001 omega elite, which has the ccr2006, i have just purchased a ccrt 2008 and would like some help firstly which screen goes with this version. I know each head unit has a certain screen and has to be paired to each other, also i have the mic already in the roof light, also what other wiring needs to be done hope someone can guide me thanks Darren.

Your CCr2006 would have been used with a MID, the CCRT2008 has its own Screen type display which is unique to to that range of HU's for Telephone support and if programmed MID type functions.
The CCRT Screen ins't Paired to the HU (as the HU is Coded) but uses different wiring over standard.
Now the fun bit, your CCR2006 would have been a Bose version, is the CCRT2008 you got from a Bose System Vehicle?

yes its a bose system also i think i need to get a gid screen

Bose is good, makes things easier, but no, GID is for the NCDC Range, you will need the CCRT type Screen and some wiring mods. ;)

this might sound stupid but i have a screen from my old omega in the loft which was for the ccrt700 would that be any good?

you say the ccrt 800 is not paired to the screen like the ncdc units if so that's a good start the old screen i mentioned was from the early models

Yep, fairly sure if it was post 98 model it will fit, but your still have to mod some wiring.

Yup, that will work :y
You'll have a bit of rewiring to do though
