I want to fit a TC button in the blank on my CDX, to provide a switch for manual operation of my intercooler fan. If I have the TC button, do I need anything else behind it, other than the wiring, to allow it to work as a push switchlight? :-\

I suppose that depends on how the TC switch works? Momentary push or on/off with each push? My guess would be momentary push :-\ :-\
I'm sure there'll be answers with clever circuit diagrams to latch a relay but an easier idea would be the latching relay at the bottom of the page http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/VWP-onlinestore/relays/relays.php#latch :y :y :y

Thanks Andy, I am already going to switch it via a relay, I am just not sure if the switch panel for an Elite with TC will have anything other than the switch and wiring to the relay etc. :-\

AFAIK, it's a simple N/O switch but when pressed becomes N/C until it loses power and then N/O resumes.
I think I may have one in the garage if you need?

I've had a look at this. The switch only has 3 connections. One will be ground, the other is the illumination input, the other will be a n/o (maybe n/c) connection to ground for connection to the ABS/TC module.
Therefore, anything connected instead of this to use the switch will need to be able to use this momentary change of state.
Another option is to fit a different switch. This can be done quite easily by removing the polarising key from (say) a heated seat switch - that gives you an isolated pair of contacts with LED on the O/P if you wish to switch +12v.

Normally open ie you press the switch to close the contact (switch it ON) & normally closed ie you press the switch to open the contacts (switch if OFF) :y :y

Only problem with this is that the slots for these switches all have different patterns for the pins, like the relay mounts.
