V324DTO 2000 2.5 manual petrol saloon
This car is home for MOT test. Unless the oil is right at the top of the dip stick the low oil check message come on. I trust the dip stick rather than the warning message. I am afraid my daughter (it's her car) will overfill it, causing frothing and breather trouble. Can I adjust the warning light level?

Oil level sensor is in the sump. Next oil change, drop sump and check wiring & connectors

Got the same situation on my Desmond, niggly faults are a PITA. :(

The "low oil" sensor seems particularly sensitive on Omegas

Seen quite a few posts re this on here ove the years - guess as always you're lucky. The old Elite Estate - oil level dropped slightly below top mark, error message, topped up to mark no message ::)

If around halfway on the dipstick, you can bet on a motorway cruise, esp slightly downhill, it will flag...

My 2.0 does it after a high speed run. It's as if to say get off your arse and get under the bonnet and see what a mess it is under there ;D
