If your bats are graphite/carbon/composite, they go all strange when burnt.

My bats died with Spanish soil on them, so thats at least 3 yrs of no use :o

Stop complaining. My aged pensioner mother regularly played up to five games a week (sometimes two in a day) and played off a single figure handicap.

As far as I can make out the game is supposed to be fun not a chore. Are you spending a lot of time looking for your ball in the longer grass? ;D ;D

If the ball didn't go where you wanted it to, its clearly faulty, and not worth looking for...

...I've been known to get through a lot of balls ;D

Ah, I see you have played this game. Fortunately, I'm interested in wildlife, as I spend a lot of time amongst it. ::) ::) ::)

I dabbled at Sewerby Park when I was 18. My Mum and Dad persuaded me it was the next best thing after sliced Bread.

It wasn't, after taking 13 shots on one green to get into the hole, I decided it wasn't for me.The signs were there! It was for both my Mum and Dad though. My Dad even managed to play off 12 for quite a few years.

Have you played on Mr Opti's private golf course yet?  ;)

Yes, the game for those with a competitive streak but who are too clapped-out to do real sport. ;D

By which time you will realise that you could have been so much better had you started playing before all your joints were shot!  I speak from experience  :'(

I wouldn't care about being good or not, it would be about being as active as my body allowed and getting some fresh air.

Mate of mine has a golf course, he keeps asking me to play, but I would only go for a walk with a gun and the dog, aparently its frowned on.

I mean the gun would go in that nice bag with the golfbats.
