Title: I don't normally post Omega ads but this one I must comment on...

Yes it has no MOT and yes it's a 2.2. But Christ I looked at this during my car's rebuild and it was on for around £400 I think. Now it's on for £199  :o :o :o

Must be a typo as a scrap dealer would give £220 for it all day, either that or he is incredibly stupid

Occasionally I like to do things on a complete whim. If I can get enough dosh I may just buy a 4-pot 2.2 to see what they're like.

What are the things to look out for on the four pots?

That appeals!  8)

What gremlins are usual on them? Will ANY of my 2.5 parts in my parts bin (which is now quite large) fit? Obviously not engine but i'm thinking stuff like HBV?

 :)

Ive just emailed the dealer, asking if he's prepared to MOT it.....OK ive been keeping an eye out for a 3.2 estate auto....cheap  ;D
But for £200 with a 12 month ticket, you cannot go wrong, even if its a pile of poo....scrapping it will get your money back or most of it  ::)

Usual things. Cam cover. Easy and cheap in 2.2. Seriously bags of room to work on it.

There is very little room in the engine bay of my V6, but that hasn't stopped some 'little bastard rodent' from chewing everything he can get his teeth on.

I had exactly the same problem with my last Omega. :-\ :-\

Prehaps the "little barsted rodent" was making its self some room? ;D ;D ;D

Are coil packs expensive on these things? Am I right in thinking that water ingress in the plug well (at the back pot?) occurs on this engine? or did I dream that?  :-\

Oh yeah and I remember cam sensors give up on these  :)

Nope, don't underestimate the 4 pot, quite capable in daily use, and I love the colour of OP post...... :y :y

Covenants are applied for a reason...to stop turning your streets into pikey sites and where I live not only caravans but boats and any kind of commercial vehicles are not allowed, and I've got to say no one here tries to push the system, except for me just one time and without going into the details I was actually threatened with legal action with a possible large fine and prison sentence by Reading council. But having said that I must agree that it keeps the estate free of shite and clutter and it's one of the places where when a house comes up for sale they are snapped up within days of going on sale.
So clean and tidy or cluttered up and shitty.....a personal choice that's down to the individual, and I now know which one I'm happy to settle with.......I understand that prison grub is not great and the soap stays on the shower floor if you happen to drop it!! :o ;D

He obviously dosn't like them.  Anything less than a V6 is for cheapskate pikeys and he dosn't want them cluttering up his estate!  ;D
