Title: Sending big stuff
Post by: omegod on 13 November 2013, 20:46:52
I need to send some large car bits, struts and trailing arms ( not miggy ) to someone but have never sent this type of stuff before .What's easiest/most acceptable way to do this via couriers?

Thought you'd have this down to a fine art by now, Jon. Surely any costs incurred are passed on to the buyer and, if they say it's too expensive, tell them they're welcome to find something cheaper.

I have ventured into unchartered waters on this one ;D, fair play they will be paying just not sure what couriers will be happy to take size/weight wise. I doubt a a hoofing big trailing arm cleverly concealed in bubble wrap is gonna work ;)

I used ipostparcles.com. Sent some very bulky heavy items for around £10 (up to 25kg and approx 2 ft in lenth if I remember.

So long as it has some form of packaging (cardboard ect) there not fussy.

Haha so long as it's covered. I've sent a pram through them and I flattened the cardboard from my new tv, wrapped and taped it up and they collected next day.
