Good day!
First - I'm looking into options to enhance brakes on mighty Calibra. If you look into formulas/calculations of brake torque - one of components is piston size.
Carltons/Omegas are lucky because of their 296mm size brake discs and brake calipers with 57mm piston.but... on Omega forum in Russia was interesting information - that somebody had brake caliper with 62mm piston which can be fitted with same brake pads as 57mm caliper and fits plug'n'play on original mounting holes on knuckle.
So - question is - anybody of you know from what opels these calipers might be? Monterey, frontera?

There is more to it than piston diameter. All you will gain by changing this is to make the caliper more sensitive to hydraulic pressure that it was before. (and you'll throw the brake balance out if you don't compensate by changing the rear piston diameters too). So, pedal feel may change but overall braking effectiveness and durability won't change.

rear pistons are already done - 2x33 -> omegas 2x40mm.
and not having electronic brake force "divider" (EBD - front/rear balance) isnt helping either.
balancing issues will be addressed later "along the way".
but at the moment - 62mm caliper which fits omegas knuckles mounting holes, please. ;)

Possibly early Pontiac GTO calipers, say 2004 vintage :-\
Discs are the same diameter as the Omega ones, later ones have twin piston calipers which require custom discs :y

I'm talking about caliper on the left - you are talking about one on the right.
I want to know which 60mm piston caliper can be put there insteat of 57mm one.

detail labeled 1 is my interest. I've checked Calibras 57mm piston caliper - there isn't much material to machine off to make 60mm piston fit.
Yesterday evening checked again Seinsa and EBC catalogs... no clear answer... looks like I will need to take Omegas Caliper and go to junkyard and try all the calipers I can find... should start with bmw's... they have 60mm piston almost everywhere.
