anyone know what can be done to revive the rubber on the door card grab handle, and around the window switch. They seem to scratch real easy (there a horrible design)

Search and you shall find ::)
(hint... October last year in 'What have you done to your car...')

Solvents will dissolve the plastic as well ::) lots of wet and dry. Start coarse 200 grit, and work your way to 2000 grit, then either paint or polish :y
Easier if all stripped off the door card first :y
-
bang on, i always strip the part first not, like the Muppet's that just go for it and get the spray everywhere, cheers.

I can only imagine :-X
It's still on my wish list of jobs but haven't managed it yet :-[
Part of the problem is colour, though another member used plastidip stuff with good results on a cream interior.

That's the beauty of the Tamiya paint I used... hundreds of colours with different finishes...matt/satin/gloss being the obvious three and covers far more predictably than so called specialist products :y

Thanks al. Here I go again ......... ;D
Had considered doing the wood effect bits too, but which colour? Beats me :-\
I guess could be the same as the pockets, but would the dash area look odd then?
Decisions, decisions :D
-
I might veneer the 'wood' next time :-\ might be easier said than done though...
-
MarkC (where is he right enough??) used a vinyl on his iirc, but there's just too many colours going on in mine :-\
-
The cream interior can easily be toned down with black/charcoal carpets, lower trims and door cards, keeping the cream lower dash, seats and leather/vinyl door panels :y
Unless of course yours is an early facelift with the poo brown dash/wheel/centre console ::)
-
No offence to any current owners, but that brown dash was shocking! Imo of course ;)
-
just striped the door down regarding the grommets i wag going to replace with screws that fit in the hole's like the self tapping ones, any ideas?

What products did you use in the end?
-
rubbed down with wet and dry under running warm water, then i used a halford's satin black, then lacquer on top to seal it then baked over night above the boiler
-
Nice one, thanks. I don't like the thought of taking it apart in the first place :-X
-
no i didn't but its not to bad, if fact it's quite easy.
