Hello people
Seems I may have done something wrong.
The ignition barrel has been broken for sometime know as it has been popping out along with the key. The ignition barrel shaft actually broke half way down and part of it remained in the solenoid. Today I decided to replace the barrel and had to take the solenoid of the back to remove the broken shaft. Not really sure what I was doing but dismanteled the solenoid to try and remove it. Got the shaft out and went about reassembling the solenoid as part of it fell apart. Now the problem is that the key works and turns the starter motor but will not even try firing up. Could this be down to the solenoid being incorrectly assembled and if so has anyone got any pictures of how it should be assembled.
The car is a 2001 2.6 CDX Omega
Cheers
