Strange one, tried to open bonnet but catch will not release, the cable is not broke plenty of spring tension on it. On pulling can hear like a catch being pulled then slipping, I think I may have left something on the wing so it is forcing bonnet up that tad to much, should be able to clear I hope by having someone bounce as I pull.
If however that does not work any other tricks other than ruining a good grill.

Get a mate, while one pulls the bonnet release, the other pushes down/pulls up the bonnet :y

Get someone to push down hard while you pull the release .. do NOT "bounce" it... just a firm downward pressure on the forward edge... usually works first time that way

If you dont have any mates, (probably wont have if you keep double posting ;) ) use some cable or string around the latch to the steering wheel then lock the wheel to tighten, then wriggle as said, once open adjust the tension of the latch with the adjuster. :y

No idea why it double posted, probably rushing ;D will let you know how it goes

As you pull the release lever, try a thump on the rear right hand corner. Sometimes sorts it

Having a good wife sit on the middle of the bonnet, over the catch, while I pull the lever, never fails. Then I find a spanner or some other tool under the bonnet, which had been jamming it. I have done it a dozen times.

Adjust the strap then, I reckon with a scredriver in your hand and bonnet up, 9 seconds, start to finnish, job done :y

open bonnet look at front plastic cover on top of rad--on right hand side there is an 8mm bolt head-this holds bonnet release cable-loosen ir and pull outer cable to the right-3/4mm will be enough -----that is how you do cable adjustement :y :y
