Post by: ConorD on 25 November 2013, 23:09:33

2Woody is your man if you really want to. The original set up is more than capable of supplying enough air over/through the main rad  ;)

Do you have a cooling problem? Remember it's designed to have the aircon there, I've taken the 3.2 in 35 degree heat through London, temp has never been an issue.

If its running hot you have other issues, such as stat problem or a blockage  :y

Dumped the air con/condenser on 2 now , only as the condenser's were rotted through . Apparently air con does zap a bit of power but not that you would know on a V6  :) , Oh also dumped the twin cooling rads on the front of the condenser . Now in the shed .

Isnt this a simple case of evacuating the refrigerant (if any in system) and then removing the condenser?

As Tunnie mentioned... if you're having over heating problems look to the cause of that first... blocked rad, air in cooling system, stat etc etc

This is a pure guess but if you gave the car ''better cooling'' you're in danger of it over cooling and never getting up to temp. I would guess.  :-\
