Title: Nancy
Post by: HolyCount on 31 May 2008, 21:28:53
Well ... I am told by the missus that Jodie is the new Nancy ( for those that don't know, they have been running another musical selection contest, a la Joseph and Maria, for the new female lead in Oliver).

Personally I would have voted for Graham Norton as the best Nancy of the lot !!!!!

Funnily enough I was thinking along those lines as I wrote the initial post -- but I don't know Loo-knee well enough to make such a comment  :-X

Mind you I don't know Graham Norton either !!!

It's got to be one of the better ones on TV these days .... so much dross.

I remember when I was adequately entertained by 3 channels, and the excitement when they became 4!  Now I have 100's and often can't find anything worth watching (not that I have much time to anyway -- so maybe not such a bad thing, for me ) !!!!!

All current TV is dross  >:( - nobody seems to be creating a decent drama.  BBC blowing their budget on the awful Knobenders, ITV just having no money.  At least you get the odd film on Five.

Thank the Lord for wireless notebook/OOF: I watch Tv only infrequently; `just to be reminded how poor it is as an entertainment.....`somebody else`s choice of content on somebody else`s schedule :(

Redeemed (only a little) by Ch5`s "documentaries" and Sky 3`s "Road Wars"......not much reward for the licence fee really. ::)

Must admit I am a sucker for Road Wars --- and I love those "How Do They Do It" and "How Do They Make It" progs.

Showing my age I know :-[, but I remember just two channels, and what's more the BBC did not broadcast all day, and certainly not all night.  We often used to have to enjoy 'intermissions; 'The Potters Wheel' and 'The Windmill' amoungst others. ;)

My uncle-in-law (Carl Roberts) is racing in the senior TT again.....last year he ended up in the Lifeflight after a horrible 'off'...but the TT is seriously-addictive. :y
