Title: getting F/L cruise working
Post by: Big_Al on 03 December 2013, 20:23:18
Umm . . .     noticed in the newbie section someone has posted that they fitted a cruise stalk it's working without  Tech2 enablement .

Is this because it is a diesel ?   or is there a possibilty that if I fit my cruise stalk to my 2.6   it may also work without a  Tech2
"chat" ?   :-\ :-\

I've never come across a drive-by-wire petrol car that's had cruise enabled but the stalk not factory fitted. IIRC the 2.5TD ECUs were normally already enabled for cruise though.

Yep, Ive fitted at least 3 cruise stalks to 2.5 TD's and they have worked straight away.

With regard to the OP fitted a stalk on a 2.2 DBW and working, His profile says 2001 CDX, so I would say cruise was fitted from the Factory and has had the stalk changed in its previous life.

I,ll just wait until I can arrange to get a tech 2 on it .

Seems highly unlikely it will work by just fitting it  . . . :'( :'(

Thanks for the  replies  :y :y
