It's not the door pin rattling in the door card, but the metal rod rattling in the door pin.
...or at least, that's another way they can rattle. Remove red tab, cover inner surface or red tab in double sided tape, re fit. Fixed.
-
I just slipped a smallish cable tie down beside the pin. A bit of a bodge but you cant see ,em and it did the trick. ;D

I stuck a Velcro dot on the inside of the door card hole. It still rattles, so I assumed it had fallen off inside the door.
Upon removing the door card today, the Velcro is still there, so I obviously assumed wrong. Upon removing the door pin and rod from the lock mechanism, holding the rod with pin in my hand.... it STILL rattles!
So the pin can rattle in the door card hole. But the rod can also rattle within the door pin.

I reckon we are bound to get a few rattles on a 12 yr old car but it can still be a PITA. :P
-
i think someone put bluetak around the pin where rod meets door pin, they said it worked.
It's not a problem on my 2.2, occasionally here it on the 3.2, but on the passenger side

No creaky door pockets here, but an intermittent tinny rattle from the passenger head restraint if no passenger. Grrrr.

That'll likely be the spring for the active headrest mechanism buzzing away. Pop the back off an place some sticky backed fluffy velcro where it's rubbing :y

I've had numerous cars where the passenger seat belt buckle knocks against the side of the b pillar or the seat. Astra did it, zafira did it, this one does it. On the meriva I had, someone had stuck a piece of velcro by the side of it.
