As per title, following a donation from kind relative!
Will be stag 4
Valtek or omvl injectors? Price wise nothing in it
Stag 4 or stag 4 plus?
What is the benefit of "plus"
Cheers :y

Wasn't this a topic a few days ago? I think the consensus was Plus if possible.

Sorry to say this, but why bother converting this to LPG? You've already said the lack of power is an issue locally for you, with Amersham hills ect.
Will you actually get cost back in fuel savings? Probably take a little while for it to be tweaked ect to be running 100% right before you start to get value back.

Tb, you're right, I did raise the question, but I later couldn't find it, maybe due to the restore recently (or maybe me being a numpty!)
I didn't see the replies either way, hence this thread
Tunnie, you make a fair point mate, but the problem I have, is that the 2.2 is mechanically near perfect and running very well with new mot and very up together
I picked up (and already installed) a used but known good 100 litre 4 hole stako tank and rear end kit (excl poly pipe) for £60 with the tank within LPGA date limit. This is all neatly mounted ready to go.
So all I need to spend to run on gas is £250 odd for the new front end bits. I can comfortably do a 4 pot front end install in a day, and have loads of time off where I'm kicking my heels, so my time isn't an issue.
I've done 6k miles on petrol since September, so the savings will be quickly recovered. I'm also driving it to Spain next year and LPG would make this cost alone more bearable as we are doing a months euro road trip
The 2.2 does feel under powered, but then, it's usable enough, and I still constantly get stuck behind idiots doing 45 in a 60 etc with little overtaking space be it a v6 or a 4 pot.
I moan about amersham hill, but then, even with a 3.2, I might overtake more up the hill, only to shortly come up behind 40mph man shortly afterwards :D
Realistically, I've made this car sound , it's the most reliable I've ever had, and I've done loads to keep it in good shape incl wishbones, wim, brakes, genuine Cam cover gasket
Cambelt kit and pump ready to fit...
The only argument for a v6 in the coming months is because it would make me smile more.
Now I have moved buying cars frequently and doing them up just isn't feasible.
My plan is run the reliable 2.2 for at least a year or two from now, and given my mileage a, I feel LPG will pay back quickly :y

I think LPG locally (Wycombe) is well under 70p too, which naturally helps further...

lpg is 69.9 per litre near me cant see point on spending on a four pot-v6 though-mad not too IMHO Got Zavoli on mine-

Asda near Jnc4 is the cheapest around there, although the pumps aren't the most reliable, and frequently are really slow.

So has this saved me a bit of work then ???

Phill, I was going to PM you this evening, thank you ever so much for the offer of the old kit, but its now not going to be needed, due to an unexpected gift, I really do appreciate you were willing to do that though :y

As you know I love my 2.2, always done everything I've asked of it. Sooo easy to work on, since new flexi went on recently it's been super super silent driving around, just love it.
Just knowing your history with cars, you change them so often :)

Quite agree...the 4 pots are smooth with the balancer box on and I find mine "nippy" enough in most circumstances. Easy to work on, so for me, a much more practical proposition. A good, working and comfortable car.
I would love a V6, but know I don't have the time to keep one running cheaply.
I am hooked on Omegas though. :y :y :y
