VW Golf Plus 1.6 Diesel auto - what a soulless boring efficient sort of car with condensation issues as bad as Omega even though it is virtually new. Lot of space, loads of headroom and parking sensors, huge windscreen. Not cheap either.

Oh dear! Not for me I'm afraid. Wouldn't mind a blip in an R32 though ;)

Really not a lover of the 1.6 engine, I've got an Audi A3 in at the minute with that engine, it's painfully slow. I do have an R32 as well however, and the noise that car makes is absolutely beautiful :-* :-*.

They are doing the warranty work on some body trims. Incorrect screws used on doors during manufacture apparently. 12 year warranty from VW is helpful and it was them telling me and not me finding a fault and telling them.
The Golf also has stop start which is clunky and noisy compared to the Mercedes S class version I had a couple of weeks ago.

Sounds a bit like VW are looking for things to keep the techs employed :-\
Golf plus is another over egged VW omlette... Altea does exactly the same job for two thirds the cost, and arguably more stylishly ::)

Condensation in the omega? Ac not working?
Had a ble motion golf with auto start. Very irritating, but got round it by adjusting brake pedal pressure donut starts early.

Had a blue motion golf with auto start. Very irritating, but got round it by adjusting brake pedal pressure so it starts early.

I thought you could turn this stop/start off?

Work mate drove some of us to Go-Karting yesterday, he had a 'normal' Golf, not sure what engine but a diesel. 60 plate, not sure on the tyres think something premium contact? something? :-\
It was quite comfy, at least for short journeys, got around ok with 4 of us in it too. It broke traction very easily, come of times pulling away, lots of slippage!
Boot also surprisingly decent, never really thought about them for DIY work. Although for me might have to be the GTi or GTD
-
SC3s or SC5s from factory on those. If the latter, that explains the poor traction. Although the chassis isn't that great either... ...Unlike early Golfs (Mk1 in particular), it doesn't need to be good, as the sheep will buy anyway.
