I replaced the rear springs about this time last year. Car seems fine but yesterday I had 4 (large) adults in it and even cornering seemed to produce a scrape from the mudflaps. So, I've been looking at her and trying to convince myself if she's looking a little low or not. :-\ So ...
Can anyone tell me the ride-height measurements as measured from the ground through the centre of the wheel to the centre of the wheel arch? 2001 2.6 CDX saloon on standard springs. No tinkering done!
Cheers,
J.
PS. Love the Christmas smileys! :y

What make springs were fitted? Some are better than others :-\
Should be 695 +/-10mm when standing empty :-\

Thanks. I'll get my torch out and have a gander.
They were a straight replacement. Presume they have some sort of guarantee? I'll try and find the paperwork. I usually keep it ...

Ex taxi-Al?
Long story ::)

Used to drive the tractor?
Anyway, 3 of the springs are 650 mm and 1 was 675mm with about 1/8th tank of fuel. :( So, stuffed all around. The roads are just killing springs this year. Both cats have pretty much rotted and are blowing near the join to the middle section of the exhaust. Both front discs and pads could do with replacing and the gearbox and diff oil needs replacing. MoT due too. I hope Father Christmas has a TC card! ;D
