Not yet M'lud! Just inebriate yourself well, to provide insulation from the commercial excesses and the whole period should pass by in a happy glow!  ;)  :)

Apparently, more people top themselves at Christmas than at any other time of the year.....and I can see why. ;)

My darling has got the same Christmas songs on as last year and the year before...etc., and is putting the decorations up, singing her little head off :)
I can hardly hear Man C v Arsenal in my earphones. ;D

Just got our lights out. What a surprise half aren't working. Do the shops sell bulbs? Err no, it is all LED and solar powered stuff now sir.

I'm just digging out the xmas CDs to try and get me in the festive spirit, as apparently I'm a grumpy bastard.

I need to get into the spirit, as I need to think about getting her a pressie.  That said, its about time I got her something for her birthday, which was a fortnight ago  :-X

Just take a brisk stroll around the perimeter of your estate M'lud not not only will Christmas has passed by the time you return, but also New Year and half of January.  :P :P :P ;D ;D ;D

You might be lucky and late at night bump into Mr STEMO where he is out on an 'educational' field trip to study and dissect the local wildlife.  ::) ::) ::) ::)

Well, my vote this year goes to Royal Wootton Bassett  :y

Its high street is lined both sides with trees, probably 40-50 trees and all of them have a spiral of white lights, with a huge christmas about half way along with multi coloured lights.

Looks very festive  :y

Swindon's attempt is a miserable effort, Wood St in the Old Town looks nice......but apart from that  :(

Highworth, usually scores highly with me, their high street is plastered with small trees inserted into flag pole holders above every shop, but half the trees have whites lights, which is good, the other have blue lights.... a fail for me imo
