Title: Phone ringtones.
Post by: Olympia5776 on 18 December 2013, 23:20:09
After complaining about the poor battery performance from my old but trusty Nokia my wife has bought me a Samsung Galaxy .
I don't think it will stay with me but will have to for a suitable short time  ;)
The one thing that really P***es me off with it is the awful standard ringtones that are inbuilt.
Can anybody suggest a free but safe site that they have used that I can down load a simple bell ringtone ?

Try using a search engine online, maybe using "old Nokia ringtones on android" as a start if you liked those previously?

Must admit I agree with you regarding the standard tones though, bloody awful. Just changed mine from my old HTC to a Galaxy Note 3 and have found the same problem, lol

Here you go

Classic British Ringtone (http://www.bonkerz.co.uk/OldPhone.mp3)

1970's Trimphone (http://www.bonkerz.co.uk/Trimphone.m4a)

Right click and select "Save target as" from the context menu.

Thanks for the replies .
In my case the Galaxy Note 3 replaced my old Nokia 2330 .
I had googled free ringtones and many were available but a couple of people had warned me that when they did it they got all sorts of additional pop up ads and "invitations " along with the ringtone ....hence a "free but safe site" .

Not a cheap way out, but can always sell phone via one of the recycling sites. Then use funds to purchase second hand 4-S  :y

4-S be significantly cheaper than 5's & practically the same really. Very little advantages in the 5's

I don't quite see how you thought that was a mistake as the S4 easily trounces the iPhone 4S, what is the exact problem you have?

PS
IF you really (and I do mean really) hate your S4, then give me a price that you think will tempt me to help you towards an upgrade to rid you of your current issues  ;)
