Lpg has got to be the way. I know you're not going to be getting corsa diesel mpg equivalent but it'd surely be similar to a 1.6 astra with all the joy of the v6.

If you've got a car with a few years life left then I reckon its better to spend 1200quid on it than a good few k's more on some modern box.

1 use the loud pedal less.. ;D

i get 22-24mpg from mine 16-19mpg around town and 30+ on a good motorway run.

its the joys of owning a gas guzzler, just keep filling it up and stay happy.

3.2 is nowhere near as economical as 3.0, yet about the same power :(

I'll dig out my stats from mine when it was purely on petrol. Although I don't have the stats documented, I know my 3.0l auto used to manage approx 23-25mpg day to day.

Over the last 2000 miles mixed driving I'm averaging 26.6mpg with my 3.2.  :)

Get a 3.0 Manual (or Auto if you prefer) then chip it, use to get min 27+ from my old 3.0 Manual MV6, after chipping it and around 33 to 38 on a run. if your happy with the results then LPG it.  ;)

20's poor, my 3.0 would do around 28-30 daily - she was a manual elite though.

(if your selling let me know btw)

I'm very disappointed to read these figs. for 3.2 & 3.0 ltrs . My 2.6 driven carefully on a round trip of 18 miles to work on open roads is returning 23ish  :-\

My V6 averages 30 mpg on my daily commute of 54 miles (2.6 manual) on a good run 34mpg & around town 22mpg. The 2.2 estate will (auto) do around 34 mpg if driven carefully on a run ,around town the lowest I have seen is 17mpg.
