The main tip in Wakefield is closed for 'improvements' (for two years!). They have opened a temporary site...........in the town centre!!!!!!!!!
I can't wait until summer, when every man in Wakefield wants to tip his greenery, it will clog up the area for miles around. Dicks.

I was staying with my Mum and Dad in North Yorkshire a few months back and helped with a big clearout. The bin men refused to take the general waste bin because of all the cardboard and parcel tape I had put in. I had to get a stanley knife and separate all the cardboard from the parcel tape. The bin was chocker by the time they came the next time.

I think a trip to the tip is on the cards here tomorrow, we have to separate everything out for recycling, other than general (dustbin type) waste. Our tip is well organised and staffed by helpful people......... :y :y

We put all our waste in the proper individual bins then a bin man comes around early and puts all the food waste into a bin its not supposed to go in before the truck comes around :o Saves them time emptying loads of bins ???

We seem to have different binmen each week so pointless tipping them :) some of them wont even take the wheelie bin if the lid cannot be fully closed!
I seem to be going the the tip regularly with rubbish we can't fit into the bins.

Aye, gone are the days when you could leave practically anything out and the bin men would lob it in the back. You get a cheeky sticker on your bin now if the lid isn't absolutely closed.
Get a life!! :(
