I need a pair. Genuine GM on TC appear to be £94 with VAT but only lists left hand 90510649. Does this mean RH and LH are the same? Loads of eBay retailers have Febi Bilstein listed at about £50 and other no-brands for as little as £25. What have others used and are they any good? Cheers.

Febi ones here. Seem ok so far.
Tried All German parts? Link at top of parts section.

Try these people, especially if you're on a budget :y

Febi are a good brand. As are Delphi. I only fit one or the other of them on my own cars. Don't touch the rest.

Obviously never bought Delphi Omega wishbones then ;D
To answer the original question...

That explains why their Omega bushes are made of toffee and only last a week ::)
-
That's funny, I fitted Delphi rose bushes and inner control arm bushes on my vectra back end and so far they are lasting well. Overall I've always felt them to be in a different league to the likes of FAI. Recently been trialling some MOOG products, jury is still out on that stuff.

What's the relevance to omega parts though Andy?

Unless they deliberately use poorer quality materials to make their omega parts from, I was giving an account of my experience of Delphi which has been good. Is there unanimous dislike of Delphi on here, or just one or two who've experienced issues?

There are members, myself included, both in the UK and US who have a very poor experience of Delphi wishbones failing within 1000 miles inspite of being fitted by the book.
I actually have Delphi ball joints, fitted to my car for three reasons...
1. I needed them ASAP on a Saturday, and my local factors had a pair in stock.
2. They were less than a tenner each.
3. Being bolted on, if they prove to be shit, it's a five minute job to change them. See also point 2.
The tie rods I linked to earlier last at least as long as any other I have fitted to my Omegas, Delphi included, yet are half the price... hence recommending them ::)
It is perhaps worth considering that unless a part/brand has been tried and tested/experienced by members on the Omega, any opinion is irrelevant. For example Michelin Energy tyres are brilliant on little French hatchbacks... this doesn't mean that they can be recommended in any way shape or form on an Omega.

Well I suppose you can't win them all, never mind hey if the ball joints turn out naff you can remove them too.

Thanks chaps. I ended up ordering the Lemforder ones form Jason at All German Parts. £120 the pair

Fair dos :y
That's not far off what my local factors charge, hence getting them from Germany...

Their w/bones are rubbish. Got less than 6 months out of 'em. >:(

Delphi wishbones are/where guilty of causing very serious handling problems due to ridiculously soft bushes. One member purchased an omega with a knackered wb bone bush unknowingly replaced the one bad one, instead of a pair, with A Delphi wb. Not that that's particularly relevant, except that the Delphi wb had bushes so soft it was possible to push your finger into them, as if made of warm chewing gum. The effect was akin to that of loose wishbone bolts where breaking would see the steering wheel twist out of the drivers hands in a direct correlation to the amount of breaking force used. Along with a horrendous sensation of that wheel folding over during full lock manoeuvring.
Like your good self but in reverse, the inference was that all Delphi must be..... shite.
Luckily their ball joints seem ok so far. I have their TRE's on mine. As do several other members who have had them fitted, at Newent etc.
There may or may not have been a bad batch of Delphi wb's, but I don't recall anyone here buying them recently to see. Maybe someone will pipe up. But in that light we can't really recommend them on, it seems to me. :)
Generally on here....Nobody buys Gm wb's on grounds of cost. £235 a side. :o ;D leaving oe supplier Lemforder at £130 odd a pair, or refurb the old ones or cheap pattern ones with a Poly bush and Gm rearward bushes, then trust the ball joints last refurbing as needed.
Meyle(?) are a good shout but as yet untried. Lemforder metal work seems to have suffered recently, according to some here. The bolt hole for the hid sensor has become un tapped, and there's a suspicion the bushes don't lat as long as they used to. But, they still seem to be the most reliable source. Although given the shocking nature of aftermarket bushes, Lemforder know they can be lax on quality compared to the factory fit days and still be way superior than the next cheapest.
Hopefully someone will try Meyle and give us better options.
Ball joints though, Delphi seem ok .... So far, ime. :)
