Title: Long nose plenum onto short nose....?
Post by: minifreek on 13 January 2014, 19:37:24
I got given the plenum off a longnose 3.2, I know it lines up and would bolt to the 2.5 shortnose I have in my elite but the dual ram system doesn't line up. Would it just be a case of getting some silicone hoses and connect them from the dual ram and onto the plenum... would there be an advantage maybe or would it reduce the power...?

Not that straightforward...

You also need the following:

throttle cable from long nose 3.0.
both 90° pipe from either a 3.0 long nose or any 2.6/3.2

Then it will fit perfectly :y

Plus, wasn't the long nosed plenum designed to create more power... thus swapping it would reduce efficiency?

You`ll also need the Idle control valve air pipe and the multiram switch unit to throttle body air ducts.

Or 90° pipes if you can't remember their actual name ;D
