Title: New car today.
Post by: Field Marshal Dr. Opti on 14 January 2014, 11:40:06
The CLS has passed it's MOT with just an advisory for low front brake pads...so I'm off to get her. :y

Please don't spoil my day by saying 'that German crap will cost you an arm and  a leg if/when it goes wrong, Mr Opti'.. ;D ;D ;D ;D

.......because I already know. :y

Enjoy :y

Mercedes service items are not far off Vauxhall prices, but then you either know that already having looked into it prior to purchasing, or are so fabulously wealthy that you don't care ::)

I'll go with the former because you seem to be quite level headed for landed gentry :y

No heated or cooled seats, and no memory facility either. Goes to show how well appointed the Omega Elite is. :y

It does come with front/rear parking sensors though. So good news for the lady driver when that 'barn door' suddenly throws itself in front of the car :y :-* :-* :-*

I would say that just about anything with four wheels comes with  more bells and whistles as standard than a Mercedes.......unless you spend silly money ticking the options box.  :-\ :-\ Just ask Andy B....eanz. :y

...., and no memory facility either.  ...

I didn't think I'd miss that as much as I do. Trouble now is that when/if I move my seat to allow the middle row to be folded flat, it takes me ages to set it back to where it might have been before.  :(

I'm the same after the wife has been driving mine. You can never get it back to exactly where it was, and you spend half an hour fiddling.

Fortunately SWMBO thinks a R Class is far too big for her & so has never driven mine ............. not even a little go in a field.  ::) ::)
