Title: Just curious
Post by: BazaJT on 19 January 2014, 09:38:03
Stood at the kerb waiting to cross a fairly busy dual carriage way near home,I saw coming in my direction a police BMW estate car-nothing unusual in that other than it was running solo where normally they're in company with a Subaru or Lancer Evo-anyway he had the blue lights flashing on the light bar[no siren even when he came through a set of red traffic lights]and was doing a fair rate of knots. When he'd passed the spot where I stood I noticed there were no flashing lights visible on the rear face of the light bar.So are they switchable or was there some kind of fault with the light bar/electrics?As per title just curious really.

The ones I used to use we're selectable by seperate buttons or hit the 999 button to get all lights and noise at the same time.

Possibly trying to get to something 'in progress' to catch the scrotes in the act without giving them an audible warning of his approach?

The panel on the passenger side of the dashboard is the one to look at - see how many switches there are... :)
