Citroen make a 4 door hatchback[5 door saloon in todays parlance]called DS4,for some reason they've made it so that the windows in the rear doors don't open.No electric window lifts,no keep fit winding handles, nothing, they simply cannot be opened. You can't even tick a box on the options list and specify opening rear windows!!I can't particularly think of a logical reason for this, but hey-ho they're French so never make any sense anyway! But I was just wondering if there are any other makes/models out there with this feature-or lack of!-anybody with any ideas?

One piece glass, that would fould rear wheel arch if not fixed?
-
A fair possibility I suppose given the shape of the rear doors, but would've thought that could be overcome even if it meant the window only opening part way,but then what do I know?

As you say, Citroen. I grew up with Citroens, they like to be "different"

"Firstly, it was design-led - Citroën prototyped a version with opening rear windows but claims it looked terrible. So in this particular instance, the DS4 really is a case of style over substance.
Citroën's official excuse is that the DS4 is a coupé, and you don't always get opening rear windows on coupés."
Lifted shamelessly from the web. but as TB said, its a Citroen, they do weird things!
