I always have oatcakes with me in the van or car.  Beats being being tempted by fast food joints.

Was the mackerel fresh or tinned?

If your in to Fish, try this as a quick and tasty snack.

2 tins of Sardines, chopped Tomato, Cucumber, Onion, Spring Onion, Red or Green Peppers, if you fancy a little chopped Chille or Powdered Chillie or Tobasco, Tomato Puray and Garlic paste, Oilive Oil, all mixed together on toast or top of cruchy buttered bread.  :y

A correction : The smoked mackerel was bought from Morrisons  :y Yes fish with a variety of chopped salad ect sounds good , quite filling as well  :y Just got to keep changing to different foods though so as not to get bored of it .

Add some rocket on top of the toast and under the mackerel, too. Mmm. Tasty breakfast.

When I saw the title "Smoked Fish" I thought you had failed to give up!  ::) :o ;D ;D ;D

Aldi and Lidl do a range of mackerel in different flavoured sauces, half a tin is a good sandwich filling. As well as the inevitable tomato sauce they also do mustard, dill, pepper and other flavours. They also do tins of salmon like this. :y :y :y

Yep same here, Porridge, Co op do a big bag of it for the faction of the price of the boxed stuff.

2 sweeteners instead of sugar or Honey, I have dried or fresh fruit to stop me getting bored with it.

Just after Xmas I bought a shite load of Birds Brandy Sauce reduced to 10p each to mix in with the Porridge, Yum.  :)

I've been on the "dukan" diet for the past two weeks (14 days today).
basically high protein low carbs low fat.
lost 17lbs!  :o

Today is a protein + veg day, so
steak + onions for lunch (didn't get up until 11  ;) )
Chicken breast ding! with cajun spices for afternoon snack
Beef tomato stuffed with turkey mince+oregano tomato sauce. for tea
Supper will be a kipper or two.
Oh, and I've done half a head of celery + about a dozen sweet peppers stuffed with cottage cheese.

an hour in the gym tonight, then *a couple* of pints.

I intend to be 14st by october - was 18st 6 on the 15th January.

And best bit is its cheap  ;D The skinless boneless in tins in oil are very nice as well . Kippers are nice , not keen on the bones  :( The days when you had to boil them and stink the house out are gone though  :y
