Title: Water pump bolt stuck

 >:( One of the water pump bolts is stuck solid,what allen key size are the actual bolt heads.Im using a 7 at the mo.Might have to leave it in there.Any help well appreciated

I dont recall the size but, this happens when a previous person decides they dont need to use a torque wrench to tighten bolts and it gets overtightened.

A trick that often works is to hammer the hex bit in or, find torx bit that is slightly larger and use that.

The process of hamemring also often helps 'unstick' the bolt.

I think they are a 6mm allen key,if you have a spline bit set try hammering a slightly oversize one of them into it,obviously once you get it out fit new bolts,don't be tempted to leave the pump there if you are fitting a new belt kit,most belt failures are because of the pump failing.

Got it out :y used center punch to put slight hole in it knocked it round with a cold chisel then hammered a torx bit in it Lol.How does it line up on some photos i took before taking it apart it looks like the little raised bit on it sits at 11 oclock Is this right.Many thanks all nice one
