Title: electric seat height adjustment
Post by: dandor on 31 January 2014, 08:54:58
Hi guys, I have an omega 2.2 CD auto with electric height adjustable seats. Only problem is they dont work. The rest of the adjustments are manual and work fine, but when I press the rocker switch for height I just hear a small clunk sound but they dont move. I know theres power to them because I can see my dash bulbs dim slightly when I press the rocker. Am I missing something like a lock button? It may also be worth mentioning that both seats are stuck at full height. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Dan

The dash lights dimming are an indication that the motor is trying ...... just follow the advise in the above link

Yeah it really is simple, both my dad's mig and mine had stuck seat motors. mine having them both stuck was a pain in the lower orifice lol. On the underneath of both front seats there is a rectangular plastic cover (if not just a round hole big enough to get your finger in, just don't get your finger stuck in there). get a small deep reach either 10 or 13mm socket and small extension if needed and giv the bolt a bit of a tweak in whichever way it wants to go, it really is that simple. 1 year on my dad's still work fine ... just posted this for people who are too lazy/unable to read the guides..
