Title: Popping Noises When Starting my car !

After leaving my car (Omega 1999 MV6 3.0) for a weak without starting it  :-[
today in the morning tried to start it and the sounds came on ! and the rpm was going up and down after a few seconds the engine stops with a popping sound  :o but if a keep my foot on the gas pedal it keeps running with rpm and the engine rives up and down please advise or help me out cuz i love this car

Inlet leak/vac leak. The ICV is trying to compensate hence revs going up and down and the popping could be lean mixture as too much air is getting in from somewhere it shouldn't be.
