Title: Can feel gear stick rock back and forward

When gently accelerating and decelerating I can feel the gear stick rock back and forward.
Had a mate lift clutch whilst bonnet is up and the engine mounts seem solid as it doesn't move. Wondering if it's gearbox mount or diff mounts?

Simply a bit of slack within the box... variations of torque running through it as you accelerate and lift off cause the selector forks to move slightly. Most noticeable if you drive the car hard and keep hold of the gear lever ::)

It's at 83k. So nothing to worry about then. I do drive the car hard at times (mainly when the misses isn't in it) but I feel it more when moving in slow traffic tho it's better when the car is fully loaded.
