Title: Phone symbol on MID

Has anybody got any information on the wiring for the phone symbol on a MFL CDX with the "normal" MID?

I am thinking of getting the phone symbol to work with my in-car kit as most of it is hidden and a couple of times the radio has gone quiet for a couple of seconds before the phone starts to ring and I start to look for something to have stopped working before realising what has happened.

Probably seems like a silly thing, but it is just a weird thought I am having at the moment  :D

There is no phone symbol on a MID. If its a factory HU and a MID, if the mute line is active, it should say "MESSAGE" or "PHONE". If its a 3rd party HU, you're not going to achieve it.

What is the symbol in the bottom left corner (maybe 2nd one in) then on the MID? Looks like a phone symbol?

The original radio in my car (CCR2006) put text on the screen ( 'PHONE'  if memory serves)

2nd symbol on the very bottom is the one I am on about.

That is the phone symbol, but there wont be much of a way to get it to light without a lot of head scratching to get it to work....

I have seen that MID type before, I do not believe its possible to light it up, certainly likely impossible without a HU that can talk to that display.

Looks like a Crow Bar symbol to me, probably lights up when the Bonnet Strap is  broken.  :-X

Its to tell you to call out the breakdown team as its going to have a pms/pmt fit  :D
