Title: What PVA mix for garage floor?
Post by: tunnie on 13 February 2014, 13:09:12
So in the coming days I plan to seal my new garage floor, plan to use PVA glue to water mix.

Question is what ratio? Done a bit of Googling, various results.

Always get good advice here, thinking 50/50?

2L PVA in a bucket, then 2L of water? Mix it up, then apply using a broom? Or is it better using a masonry brush to really work it in? (It's a standard single garage)

Be sure to sweep the floor several times with a soft brush, so that the floor is as dust free as possible before starting :y

Half and half in a bucket will be ideal for mixing :y

Would probably use a large paintbrush, say a 5-6" one... too large and you're less likely to get it evenly distributed :-\

Run your vacuum over it as well, after sweeping.  ;)

I would give it 2 coats, first one 75 water 25 pva , this gives the second coat a good base to stick to
