Title: Non Starting Issue
Post by: cliff on 16 February 2014, 11:03:08
Hi, I have a 2003 2.6 auto CDX Omega. I had a flat battery, took it off the car and re-charged it over night. Stuck it back on. The engines spins nice but won't fire. Had a auto electrician look at it but can't find the fault. Have you got any ideas? Thanks

Is the engine management light on ?

Potentially crank sensor is u/s.

Try the pedal trick to reveal any codes and post them on here, someone will help.

Title: Re: Non Starting Issue (done a pedal test)

Hi,

I've just done the pedal test and it has come up as:

10 flashes
3 flashes
3 flashes
5 flashes

Can someone please advise what this might mean.

Thanks

Crank sensor is u/s. Only replace with a genuine Vauxhall one as pattern ones have been known to fail early.
