Title: A perspective on how wet this winter has been
Post by: Rods2 on 16 February 2014, 12:59:25
This is all very interesting as it shows that this sort of rainfall happens about every 10 years. Which just goes to show, how much difference, dredging / not dredging makes.

So words to sell newspapers or get poor politicians of the hook like "unprecedented" are just bullsh*t.

Really? I'm shocked and stunned, surely the media would never do such a thing? :o

It presses the politicians up against the wall, probably unfairly, which takes them away from doing a better job.

If a river needs constant dredging, surely its time to give the surrounding land back to mother nature, which would kill multiple birds with one stone.
