My 3.0 V6 will start from ice cold and idle very,very roughly.
The car has no acceleration (as if you forgot to pull the choke out).
When warm it will idle fine.
When I turn the engine off for only 15 mins and return it will idle very badly then stall in just 30 seconds.
No amount of throttle will save her from stalling.
This leaves me stranded!
The only fault codes I have is 39.
I have had fault code 19 before this, but that has gone.
The car has a brand new Idle Control Valve and I have swapped that with a spare to double check it - does not appear to be the problem.
It has a brand new EGR valve also.
Have disconnected the MAF without any noticeable difference.
Any thoughts as I cannot trust driving it at all! :'(

Could be fuel related, any petrol leaks, fuel pressure ok, shite from the tank? etc.

Did you replace the crank sensor with genuine

Yes - was replaced with a Bosch (Part No. 90540743)

Car started from cold today fine.
ICV worked and when revs dropped the car idled correctly.
Drove it for 6 miles - up to temperature - no problem.
Parked the car for 15 mins.
Car started - very lumpy and stalled. No amount of throttle could save it from stalling.
Can anyone please help! :'(

Dredging up from my memory, I had the same problem with an old Saab 900 which drove me to distraction. Turned out to be a corroded pin on the MAF However code 39 suggests the oxygen sensor may be shorting or the tank vent valve is blocked. If these are fine/replaced and the problem persists I would also suggest you thoroughly check all the vac hoses and joints and the resistances on the Coolant Temp sensor.

I'm beginning to focus upon the Lamba sensor.
£65 for NGK but getting the bugger off is another thing!
Sensor 1 is on the driver's side I believe? on one of the down-pipes?

If it's idling roughly right from start-up I'd say it's unlikely to be a lambda sensor, as that will be ignored until it's up to temperature (several minutes). Remember, the code is telling you that the reading from the sensor doesn't tally with the other engine operating conditions, not necessarily that the sensor has failed.
Plenty of other things could cause rough idling and also flag up this code - air leaks, etc.
