Took out spark plugs today and one of the ceramic bits broke about 3mm and I believe a bit might have gone in engine :(
Tried to get it out but couldn't. do I leave it and hope for the best or is it off with his head?
Cheers Ian

Its ceramic so will probably be fine, worst case the piston will crush it leaving a slight witness mark and then blast it out the exhaust valve, best case it will just exit out the exhaust valve.
Do try a hoover down (or around the top of) the spark plug hole though (turn the crank so the inlet or exhaust valve is open)

How about a hoover pipe reduced down to a plastic tube with tape, then through the plug hole. :-\

I had this before many moons ago in the 2.2, electrode broke off. New plugs and all is fine, that was around 70k ago :y

Managed to get it out but now eml is on and was a bit rough on start up don't no what I have done but must be to do with coil pack I'd suspect as it was the only thing I touched.
Also cam gasket needs doing as all 4 wells full of oil :)

Would be helpful to know what worked :y

Remembered I had one of them long flexi grab things. Lucky I could see it on the top of the piston.
No won't be giving the £10 gasket a go as I've got a spare in a cupboard somewhere
