;D ;D ;D ;D
Hope you had time to run it in :-\

Guessing the engine wasn't the problem then ;D
-
BMW UK no doubt. We had similar issues with Audi UK until they sent someone who knew what they were doing a few months later...

It coughed spluttered then died at a set of lights, with a horrid smell of diesel. There's a catastrophic leak somewhere. Probably find out that someones not tightened something up correctly after the engine transplant. ::) ::) ::)
-
Just get it sold .........
one careful owner! ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

We've got about 5 Mundeo 2.5 Turbos at HQ going cheap soon, cylinder heads gone on all of em and at 09/10 plates not going to repair em.

My brother's X5 (yeah, I know, idiot, but he will only consider BMW) keeps going back with a gearbox fault, has done for years. Well, last year, they declared it needed a new £7k gearbox. So after a couple of jars of Vaseline he drove it out of the dealers, and got down the road before realising it hadn't made a jot of difference.
Mind you, these are the same mongrel dealers that stuck it through an automated car wash on its first service. If that wasn't bad, they left the sunroof open at the time.
He still uses them for all servicing ::)

Well, people will drive around with a blue and white "idiots target" on each end...
What do they expect? ::)

And I believe you also mention Ford......... :o Begs the question, is it the Car's fault? After all, they have one other thing in common!.................. ;) ;)

One target, four targets. All the same really ;D :P

There's a German fella at work who will only buy Audis..
He'll also only take them to Audi in Germany for servicing - he doesn't have anything good, or even remotely good, to say about mechanics in this country.. ;D
To be fair, he's not had any faults since he started doing that :o

Back in my youth (ah, SO long ago....), I used to lust after a BMW MOTORBIKE - they don't seem to attract the same sort of bad press and bollocking idiot drivers - do they?
Ron.

Now them Mr Aaronjb. You've opened up a train of thought there that could make this thread very very long indeed.
...no, not going there. Not after the week I've had/lots of us have had, no doubt.
