I use Shell Helix HX7 10W40 in my 2.2 petrol
Results are good so far with only 1000 miles covered, to add it's dragged lots of muck out of the engine too which was the main reason for the using of this oil!
Impressed enough to continue using it
What do you use?

GM 10W40

GM 10/40 Semi as it's cheap as chips on trade club, can oil change the 2.2 for around £14 or so all in, including GM filter :y

We've had tyres...now oil....oh joy.

Don't know what Evers going cheap at the time :y

10w40 semi-synthetic. Usually out of the drum at work, but otherwise whatever is cheapest. The last 5l I bought(needed it in a hurry, and it wasn't for me anyway) was £13 for 5l at ECP.
It really doesn't matter, especially if you change it at a reasonable interval. That's yearly for me, or about every 9000miles.

GM 10W40 semi synth in both my Omegas. And in the Rover, Kawasaki and Lawnmower before I "lost" them all.
Normally changed every 3-5k, although for the last year, both Omegas have only had one oil change :-[

A bit of cocking oil for doing the fried eggs, bacon, sausages and hash browns, sainsburys finest ;D
-
Costco 10/40 semi synthetic. Around £40 for 25 litres if I remember correctly (bought it 2 years ago)

lol ::)

Last week popped into my local main stealer for door bushes and out of interest asked how much 4.5 litres of fully synth would cost me? £54.00 was the reply :o I'm not going to comment any further as I have now given up swearing and rude hand signals :-X
-
But with a TC card, more like £22, or £16.50 if you bought four..
Unless you go into Bracknell branch when the young fella is working the counter, who always tries to pass off full retail price as trade club ::)
-
Should have asked for the
Chevrolet Daewoo price ;D

As long as its not the Castrol stuff, as that doesn't work too well, certainly in our V6s.
