Title: What's it worth?
Post by: Mr Hagon on 04 March 2014, 12:53:27
The time has come for my Miggy to move on and I want to offer it for sale on the forum first.  Not looking to make much, if anything on it, but would like some (honest) feedback on what price I should put it on at.

It's a 2002 02 3.2 V6 Elite estate auto.
110 000 miles
Well cared for, have almost always fixed everything that's gone wrong, to the point of replacing the roof aerial.
Lots of receipts for all the work done to it and would put a fuller list on the F/S ad.

However it's throwing a P420 or P430 (can't remember which) permanently so the light on the dash is on all the time.
Cambelt is due at next service in April as is a major service, i.e. brake fluid too.
MOT and tax due in April, which I don't plan to renew.
Tyres will probably need replacing but they're legal for now.
Has used a litre of oil in the last year, having done a few thousand miles.

Upside is that it has the NCDC 2015 + (working) CID and when the exhaust rotted away I replaced it with a complete cat back stainless steel system with separate pipes all the way to the back box.

So, what would someone on here pay to take it away, knowing the above?

Colour?, dents, rust?

IIRC it is a tidy example. P0420/30 just needs the lambda sensors relocating, of course. A non-issue on the 3.2.

Not sure on value, I'm sure others will have a better feel than I, although you may well get a better price selling elsewhere.

Make sure you keep in touch. I might need help fitting another kitchen worktop one day. ;)

Signature says it's Star Silver, not sure of the exact paint code but a point to note for the ad.

No panel dents, although there are some scuffs on the front bumper and a cracked rear bumper that demonstrates that you can't rely on parking sensors  ;D.

As for rust, none as far as I can tell, apart from the tiny bubble under the rear wiper assembly, but that's a known issue and having fixed it once I'm not doing it again  :).

Think I have some old photos I would use and then add to them with photos of the scuffs and rust.

Very good memory KW!

May well get a better price but I want to give something back to the forum for all the help over the last dozen years of Omega ownership, hence happy to let it go on here first.  Also don't have the patience, for now, to put an Omega on a website and deal with selling it given how little T&T it has and the pre-cat code.

I simply see this as an opportunity to someone to get a NCDC + CID and stainless exhaust with a free car attached that has just enought T&T to get it home.
