O crap!! mine due 1st of Feb thanks for reminding me sat in glove box for a month or more police dont seem so keen these days on checking visualy now its all digital . :-[

See plod so rarely these days, but yeah I think their ANPR is the main tug as they can just drive past and it would alert.
Going to feel odd not having it on the windscreen any more!

Yup saw the unmarked plod sat outside my house yesterday waiting for their first mark.....didn't take long.

There seems to be a grace period on the system now, that goes from, Licensed, to, Licence Due or about to expire, before it becomes Unlicensed

Within a month over due is not prosecutable iirc... Over a month Dvla add details to the PNC.
This is because if paid within first month, they still get that months money. Over a month and the non payer 'benefits', which is what they take exception to... :-\

Only if you SORN'ed it these days, I think? If you didn't SORN it, you have to pay from the date it expired.

I think I'll put a 'Tax in post' notice in my windscreen just for a bit of nostalgia. :)
