Title: Alarm horn
Post by: tooleater on 12 March 2014, 16:35:26
Last year I removed the power sounder, as I have now moved address, which is not the most pleasant place to live, ie. instead of a note Don't park here, a screw planted under ns rear tyre is how they get their message across  >:(I've decided to leave the motor at previous address, If I unplug or cut the wires to the Alarm horn, will this affect the immobiliser, meaning can I still start the car. It would nt  Be fair on neighbours if this tripped in the early hours and I'm living 3/4 mile away. :y

If the power sounders removed, all that happens when the alarm is triggered is that the hazards flash.
Is that your question?

No alarm horn should still sound, unless it is also connected ;)

Cheer for that mate :'(

Sorry, what I meant was that the alarm can be unplugged, rather than cutting wires  :)
A non working alarm horn shouldn't interfere with the immobiliser.
