Ok, anyone know that bloke who thought it wouls be a good idea to put the AUX Drive belt OVER the coolant hose and the Aicon hoses... I had to drain the rad to to replace the belt and cut the air-con pipes out, as I have a belt that bypasses the Aircon pump anyway, that doesn't really matter...
Although now the car smells of candy floss, which is very odd.
Bloody crap engine bay layout!!
Anyway 3 sodding hours to change a belt, I've cured the rattle, but now I have adopted a squeek!!
Cheers.

Different lay out to mine then :-? Unless I've misunderstood you.
It could be worse. My wife had a Hyundai Lantra on which you had to remove an engine mount to replace one of the 'fan belts'! >:(
.....but now I have adopted a squeek!!

Change the mouse! ;)

Yes the 3.0 V6 one is a pain in the ass, but I'd hate to have to remove an Engine mount!!
If only it was a mouse.. think it's the tensioner puller going....
Cheers.

I'm sure all I had to do was undo the bolt for secondary air injection?

Well I'm no super mechanic, but I had to cut the air-con pipes out, and drain the ad, and bugger around with various pipes and pieces of hose for 3 hours... I'm sure it was put on correctly, as there is a bracket which holds all this pipework in place...and belt fauls it if it does not go around it. I could no seem to find a bolt that removes that bracket..... :'(
So after 2.5 hours of wondering HOW it could be done the VX way, I decided to do it my way, and use the saw and lots of brute force, the engine was running and put back together.... minus some bits in 30 mins... :D
Cheers.
