Title: Problem with auxiliary belt tensioner
Post by: supersaw on 28 March 2014, 18:12:11
Hi ;)
Today when I was driving home with my 1995 Omega 2,0 16v and I heard "poooch" and then I saw that I have no power steering and battery light was on. So I opened a bonnet and there was no auxiliary belt and the tensioner has only a bearing.

So, I must change this broken tensioner to new one ? complete unit or just a new pulley ?

Is this work is hard to do by myself?

Thanks for the help

On the V6 Replacing the pulley is a 10 minute job, very simple. In the UK we can buy just a replacement pulley, part no 9157962

however I have no idea about the 2.0 16V at all .. :(
