Title: LOWER RENEWAL QUOTE
Post by: MikeDundee on 17 November 2006, 07:15:49
Got my renewal quote from my current insurers need2insure, could'nt believe it, it  has actually came down by an amazing £5.30, from £745 to £739.70 nearly fell off ma chair ;D ;D ;D. I have e-mailed them advising I have a lower quote at 570 from performan, lets see what they come back with, mind you without the MS60 ;D ;D

Well low and behold, got a reply back from the insurers regarding the lower quote of £570, and they revised their quote to £602.25, includes £1,000 ice cover. and all the mods, Thinks I might just go for that, only problem not protected and have 10 yrs no claims. Might just go 3rd party ;D, but I am insuring the car for 10k

£1500 for my merc
£1400 for my veccyB
£1400 for my Omega coz i complained and suggested i might move ins comps so they dropped it from £1800
£1400 for my veccyC

Thats an insurance bill  >:(

True but she hasn't quite got the hang of controlling a barge in a car park yet.  Not doing the blood pressure any good.

Still roll on when she passes her test - I can give her my 2.5 manual and treat myself to a 3.2 MV6......

I see your point - two barges to spend vast amounts of money and time to keep on the road............

Not ready for the test yet but not got too far to go I think.

Having said that she did turn to me and say today that it wasn't as good as a Volvo.  Sent me into a bit of a sulk and made we wonder whether I should change her for another model (present squeeze that is not the meega).

The other problem I have is that at 4ft 12 it is impossible for her to wash the car properly.  I guess one of those car wash mops on a long handle will do for christmas.....

You could always lower the supension...still be cheaper than a volvo...is this the first test?

lower the suspension?  I think I'd need to take the wheels off and then give her a set of steps.............

Yep first test and we have not found an instructor to knock  the rough edges off yet.  when we do I think it will be quite a difference pootling around in a 1litre corsa to the meega unless I can find and instrutor that has seen the light and doesn't mind the fuel bills.
