Title: What Android code reader?

So got a bluetooth adaptor on order, but what code reader App?

OmegaMan uses 'ScanMyOpel'

Any other recommendations? Just looking for a good solid code reader, not after any re-programming type things.

Torque seems a bit more reliable in my experience. SMO is a bit of a work in progress but they both have test versions so you can try before you buy.

Torque Pro here ... ScanMyOpel keeps crashing on my phone ... Torque is OK for a quick read/reset .. but the GS500 is far better for live data, just the damn cable gets in the way ... :(

I use Torque Pro occasionally, which is good for the ordinary OBD functions, although it is slower than a dedicated reader. It does a whole load of other stuff which may or may not be of use; I'm not particularly interested in acceleration tests.

I use carista worked ok on my new transit and cleared fault codes.

Torque will only do OBDII stuff, obviously. So engine codes only, possibly a subset of gearbox codes.

I think Torque only looks at the engine ECU.

ScanMyOpel also talks to the TC/ABS and gearbox ECUs. It claims to be able to talk to the airbag ECU but it hasn't worked for me (yet).

The pro versions are so cheap I can't see a reason not to get both.

I use Torque. Never had a problem yet. That's on a Samsung S3.
