Andyc
have a look in recommended suppliers. :y
Edit...damn, too slow. ;D

Andy is no longer able to supply trade club parts, as far as I'm aware. If you need to contact him on other matters, I'd suggest a PM via the forum.

Cheers for that Guys, you are correct, when we last spoke, some time ago he informed me of new Vx policy. NO CAR CLUBS :'( have sent pm. Unless some got a spare set of new Mv6 spring or were to source :y

That's not correct, as I understand it.
Andy has moved position within his company. Promoted I think. So, as he was the main contact for car clubs at Drive Bury St Edmonds , his bosses at Drive, have said they are no longer able to support car clubs, presumably not to the same level. because Andy was so good and such an enthusiast, and the others staff can't cope ;D
Non of that means car clubs are not supported by trade club. Far from it. As I've used all the dealers round here via my abs card as normal with no issues. Bracknell, Slough, Reading, Maidenhead all fine with Abs Tc.
While your post is correct re Andy's dealership as far as contacting Andy goes, that doesn't mean Abs or Tc have changed policy across the board. Although some dealers have dropped Tc altogether, which is their choice.
.....as I understand it.
While I'm sure we are all delighted for Andy's promotion, his is services are a loss to the clubs, no doubt there. As he could find answers to questions nobody else would.
Re lsc suspension for mv6, just ring a tc participating dealer and ask for the correct parts. You may find they have been discontinued anyway though. :(

Or couldn't meet the criteria to stay in :-X
I believe Drive Bury is no longer a TC dealer.

Whatever, picky pants. :P ;D

The criteria changed, according to my old TC supplier, which was the reason that about 400 outlets got booted out last year :'(

I'd assumed some dealers no longer met the criteria, due to the recession...?
-
Spoke to Daz Sunday night, he will be dropping down this neck of the woods shortly to sort out things engine wise on the motor, discussed the prob of sourcing genuine Vx Mv6 springs, he reckons all the unsold parts after a given time get removed from shelves sent back to Germany and archived in some special dusty storage facility, or should I say a Vx Aladdins cave ;D

They will have to be ordered from Germany anyway, if they have them.

No, the criteria changed, following a survey of those people who use TC

God its like getting blood out of a stone.
In what way did the criteria change, exactly?

According to the guy at Skurray's - who are definitely still TC but don't show on the TC website as members :-\ :-\ - the required minimum "turnover" of TC parts was dramatically increased, in the region of a 4 fold increase... so they now have to push sales of bulk stuff every time you go in, in order to hit the targets..... only the "bigger" outlets can hit these targets and some of them still struggle. It is now a standing joke between the guy and me .. he simply says ... "no point me trying to talk you into 50 gallons of oil or 100 wiper blades is there".. smiles, and logs in the ABS reference to get me the discounts .. I still get around 9% on non-TC parts as well.. :)

It was a bit more fundamental than that as there were was also requirments to have a minimum number of vans and personnel to support the Trade Club outlet.

The 2 reasons my old dealer gave were stock holdings and having to have at least 4 vans, in order to meet Tradeclub v2. I'm guessing there was other criteria, but these were the 2 mine said they couldn't achieve.
